The famous communication scientist Paul Watzlawick once stated that it’s impossible not to communicate. It is so important therefore to use the right communication channels, especially
in business, PR and marketing areas. Entrepreneurs, freelancers and decision-makers are realising that an own book plays an increasingly important role in successfully achieving their unique strong profile in this competitive environment. And those who don’t have time to write their own book, can simply hire a professional ghostwriter.
We live in times in which the communication possibilities are more diverse than ever before.
Since we people have always communicated and liked to exchange ideas, this is very welcome. However, it is the multitude of possibilities that makes it so difficult to distinguish between quality and quantity. And this applies to the private as well as the business sphere.
Our present with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, where answers to complex questions
and problems can be answered in a maximum of 280 signs and the reader decides in a fraction of a second whether to scroll on or click away immediately. The longing for sustainable media and forms of communication is growing ever stronger.
The book plays a major role in this, be it printed or digital as an e-book. Especially non-fiction books and guidebooks enjoy great popularity and so it is not surprising that with over 80,000 new publications in Germany every year, millions of readers can be reached. A gigantic target group for self-marketing. Also the authors who like to define themselves as decision-makers or executives, have realised that this is a huge opportunity to promote one’s own person or company.
By publishing one’s own (company’s) history, personal opinions, ideas and visions they reach their own target group on the one hand, and on the other hand, a broad public. But the advantages of having your own book are even more complex. Apart from an enhanced reputation, the personal network grows, new business relationships spring from it, sometimes new customers,
sales channels and market segments. In addition, your own book is a perfect gift for business partners, customers and those who are destined to become one.
Some new authors even admit that an own book flatters one’s own ego, and that is, of course, absolutely fine.
It’s often only for the time lack reason that some almost-authors keep their book project for far too long in the drawer. A pity, because they might miss a great and unique chance to become a book author and sharpen their own business profile.
The will is often there, but with a 60- or 70-hour working week, it can be difficult to find the time and discipline to write a book. Fact is that before the fame comes the work. Although there are some authors who actually manage to write a book manuscript during their annual holiday. Chapeau! But whether this were real holidays and what the family had to say about it, is rarely passed on.
Even if you are writing a book along with your working life routine, you should take care that the project doesn’t take much longer than half a year. Otherwise, the personal tension and motivation are often lost.
The feedback that you get at book publication is usually great. I always like to tell an episode in this context. One of my book customers opened his e-mail account one day and
couldn’t believe his eyes. On
the evening before, he was a guest speaker at an event about the future opportunities in his industry. Afterwards he talked some of the participants, and they told him that his speech was good. But his respondents were really enthusiastic, when he mentioned that he had recently written a book about his topic. The next day alone he received more than 30 book orders by email. Also the reference to the newly published book on his website had a great response, which still inspires him today, since all those who order the book are potential customers. In the meantime he has started his second book project with us.
One thing is certain: a book is still unbeatable as a PR tool and every entrepreneur who has something to say should definitely consider the idea of writing one.
And if you realise that you’re not really getting anywhere in writing on your own,
you still have a chance to get your book published with a professional ghostwriter or
a writing coach. In an initial conversation, which can also be conducted by phone or
or by Skype, we define topics, target groups and and wishes of the client. The ghostwriter then gets down to work. And after an agreed time frame, you will receive your own book with your name on the cover, which one can buy or you can give as a gift to friends and customers.
Of course, there are also many online platforms that could help you to make your dream of your own book come true. Whether you start your book project with an online workshop or a ghostwriter, just do it!
